In Memoriam – Rob Koppen

Partner, inspiration and connector within CFO Netwerk Rob Koppen left a deep and lasting impression as a partner of CFO Netwerk. With more than four decades of experience across Finance, Consulting and Sales, he brought not only a wealth of knowledge, but a rare combination of vision, decisiveness and humanity. Rob was not an adviser who stood on the sidelines — he was in the thick of it, taking initiative and creating momentum. His sharp insight, clear communication and ability to actually deliver complex change made him a highly valued force within our network.

Outside of work, Rob was equally entrepreneurial. Together with his wife Jolanda, he ran B&B De Rieke Smit in Wilsum with great dedication from 2012 — a place where hospitality was felt in every detail. During our off-site sessions there, we experienced the same warmth and care as the many guests who rated the B&B exceptionally highly.

In the summer of 2023, it became clear that Rob was terminally ill. Despite his declining health, he remained engaged, helpful and focused on the future. His final months were marked by handing over, completing what he had started, and ensuring a good future for what he had built. Rob passed away in October 2023.

We are grateful for everything he meant to CFO Netwerk. His legacy lives on in the way we collaborate, think and build for the future. Rob remains a source of inspiration — as a professional, as a partner and as a person.
